The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital, Puducherry, in July 2026, through its communication dated July 14, 2026, informed the Headquarters Office that three drug samples were sent to the Controlling Authority, Department of Drug Control, Puducherry, for quality analysis/testing during June 2026.
The drug samples submitted for testing include Injection Diclofenac Sodium IP 25 mg/ml, Pantoprazole IP 40 mg Tablets, and Metformin HCl IP 500 mg Tablets, manufactured by Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Limited (KAPL) and Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL). The communication specifies the respective batch numbers, manufacturing dates, and expiry dates of the samples.
The intimation has been issued to the Deputy Medical Commissioner (Rate Contract), ESIC Headquarters, for information and further necessary action as part of ESIC's drug quality monitoring and procurement oversight process.
